The colors here were created by rubbing flower petals onto paper. The colors were blended to go in one direction and then repeat back as a palindrome. The colored pencil lines match the colors and will provide a benchmark if the colors fade.

This collage was made from dried Japanese Maple leaves cut and arranged in a grid going from green to brown. It was scanned and made into a fine art archival ink jet print. Available in full-size edition. And 16 x 12 edition.
The original is in the collection of the Cary Institute.

These shapes are based on parking lots at the SUNY New Paltz campus. The colors are from flowers gathered at the college.

The shape is from one of the parking lots at SUNY New Paltz and the colors are stains from flowers growing on campus.

I rubbed the petals of siberian iris flowers on paper to make these colors. The lines are created by tracing the drawing using white and magenta transfer paper.
